Part of this is an exert from the Bhagvagita interpreted by Paramahansa Yogananda

In every being there exists a masculine and feminine nature.

The masculine or positive side reveals itself as the power of discrimination, self-control and exacting judgement that responds to reason.

The negative or feminine nature consists of feeling: sympathy, kindness, mercy, joy.

In an ideal being these two aspects are perfectly balanced.

But if reason is without feeling, it becomes calculating, harsh, and judgmental.

And if feeling lacks reason it becomes blind emotion.

Neither one, when dominant, imbalanced with the other, is good for society, or for the self.

When the masculine dominates, we arrive at war, as well as verbal, emotional, physical, and energetic violence at the individual level, aggression etc.

When the feminine dominates we have emotionally unwise sympathy towards behaviors that are not healthy, that are defined as wrong. Accepting them in the name of compassion. Sympathetic and accepting of behaviors that are harmful at the global and individual relationship level.

When each human is balanced, there is no violence, no aggression, no pure emotional acts.

The battlefield of masculine and feminine is a personal one. An internal one. One we should all be engaged in to bring about peace and balance of these two natures, that exist in each of us.

However, many of us find it so much easier to sit on a video and shout at one another, blaming each other. To live in the comfortable saying: THIS is who I am.

Rather than actually do the work, go within, fight the internal battle, to rise, heal, and balance both natures.

Because to accept you are both masculine and feminine, would mean having to change out of role you have comfortably attached to.

If we all did that, balanced our dual nature, this debate we are having between men and women would no longer be relevant. The one where we keep asking each to stay in their own lane.

It would no longer matter which parent stayed and home and which one went out to work. In fact so many divisions we have created around concepts of feminine and masculine, by attaching them to man and woman, would vanish. What we would be left with would be pure equality and healthy companionships between complete individuals.
